Project Director – Change Management

Ellen supports all teams from a Change Management perspective. She has been with the university since 2004 and officially on the Student project since January 2021. She’s been affiliated with the general MyDay project since 2018.

Using a blend of communications, marketing, branding, and change management skills, she’s spent her whole career working to help organizations (mostly non-profits) modernize and advance. She spent 8 years in FleishmanHillard’s healthcare practice, but left in 2005 to be the Brown School’s first communications lead. Other relevant WashU roles include AVC for integrated marketing and brand strategy and AVC for university initiatives. In this role, she helped get MyDay off the ground and then became the Change Lead for the Workday HCM and Finance implementation.

You can’t tell it by my accent, but I grew up in the South. My family is still there, but I’m proud to call all of these cities – Birmingham, Philadelphia, Chicago, and St. Louis – home! I’m on a perpetual quest for the best shrimp and grits!

When not at work, Ellen is swimming, baking, reading, and streaming foreign crime shows. She has also served on the Boards of several St. Louis non-profits. Currently, she’s Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Crossroads College Preparatory School.
