Readiness

Get ready: Find your page

On Feb. 17, students, faculty and our largest group of staff to date will have access to Workday Student. To help with this transition, we’ve created group-specific pages on the Student Sunrise website that contain information curated to meet the unique needs of each population.

These pages serve as “one-stop shops” containing essential information, including details on:

  • What’s changing (and what’s not),
  • Key dates and detailed timelines, including when to use legacy systems (WebSTAC/WebFAC/etc.) and when to use Workday during Spring and Summer 2025, and
  • How to access training and support as you begin using Workday.
Group-specific information is available on these pages:

We recommend bookmarking the applicable group page(s) above in your web browser for quick access.

Workday Student Training & Support

The webpages above include direct links to relevant Training & Support resources for each group. You can also go directly to the sources of those training and support resources in the ways outlined below.

Workday@WashU Website

Audience: Staff, Faculty & Students

All students, faculty and staff have access to Workday Student tutorials and reference guides on the Workday@WashU website, which step you through the tasks you need to do in Workday. Some tutorials include video demonstrations.

Use the drop-down menu on the Workday Student page, shown below, to find your group-specific tutorials and reference guides.

The drop-down menu on the Workday Student page offers tutorials and reference guides organized by group-specific categories.

From this same page, you can find additional resources and information on how to get help using Workday Student.

Consider Workday@WashU your source of truth as training materials are continually updated. We recommend bookmarking rather than printing materials to ensure you always have the latest, most accurate information.

Workday Learning

Audience: Staff & Faculty

Faculty and staff also have direct access to online eLearning courses within Workday via the Learning app. Navigate to the Learning app, as shown below, to explore all available eLearnings. Workday Student eLearnings have orange tiles to help you find them more easily.

In addition to accessing individual eLearning courses, select groups responsible for performing complex tasks in Workday Student have comprehensive learning programs available to them. These learning programs consist of instructor-led training plus a series of eLearning courses that build upon the instructor-led material.

Those who should attend instructor-led training, including advisors, registrars and others, are receiving invitations to select a session that works with their schedule. They also can find their learning program details and the instructor-led training schedule from the Training & Support page of the Student Sunrise website.

Workday Help Articles

Audience: Students & Advisors

By March 2025, students and advisors can find brief, student-centered support articles inside Workday itself via mobile or desktop. The articles cover topics such as navigating Workday, registration, waitlists and more.

After searching in Workday, relevant help articles appear in the Articles category, as shown below. Advisors can view and share these articles to help their students but won’t find articles on advisor tasks. We may add these at a later date.

Advisors and students can also access these articles from Workday’s Help Center via the Help App.

These articles are also available as tutorials under the Student Tasks section of the Workday@WashU website, along with additional resources for students.
