Moving to Workday from WebSTAC, Course Listings and other systems is a big change for you and WashU.

For most students, Workday will be unfamiliar when you first use it to register for undergraduate and graduate classes in April 2025. While faculty and staff members may be familiar with Workday for HR purposes, it will be a big adjustment from using systems that have been in place for decades.

Mock enRoll events are designed to help you preview how the new system will look, feel and work and practice some of your tasks.

These events are drop-in/open house style, so come when you can and stay as long as you can.

Students can practice how to view your account balance, review your academic record and register for courses, including a new way we will be managing waitlists and how to drop and swap classes. Advisors, instructors and other staff will learn how to navigate their dashboards, search for courses and course sections, view class rosters, and run accessible reports.

Why go?

Get a head start. Workday can be a difficult system to learn. You’ll want to check it out early so you are familiar with the system and what will be different before you need to use it.

Get a backstage pass: Anyone who attends a Mock enRoll event will get a “backstage pass” to continue to explore Workday until Jan. 10. This will allow you to take your time and dive deeper into the different ways in which you will use the system.

Get rockin’ merch. Students who attend and complete our survey will be entered into a drawing for prizes.

Tickets

Mock enRoll events are free; no tickets are needed for the event you choose. If you are a current undergraduate or graduate student who will be taking classes in Fall 2025, review the schedule below and plan to attend.

While Mock enRoll is aimed at students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend – especially advisors or anyone who teaches or grades.

Setlist

This is a hands-on activity, so bring your laptop with you! You’ll get to explore Workday and practice tasks that you’ll need to complete when the system is live. We will have special task lists for faculty and staff as well.

We’ll provide some resources to help you get started. You’ll be asked to provide feedback on those, so we can make any improvements.

If you’d like to get started early, find training materials organized by topic on Workday@WashU. Consider bookmarking that page, as it’s where you’ll continue to find resources any time you need them after go-live.

Upcoming tour dates

While you can attend any event, you may find it helpful to attend an event sponsored by your school or unit.

Each school or unit will host a Mock enRoll event between Nov. 11 and Nov. 21.
