During the 2024-25 academic year, Workday will become WashU’s new online home for registration, advising, student financial management and more.

Workday will replace many of the existing systems you use, like WebSTAC and Course Listings, which are more than 30 years old and difficult to support and secure. Some systems will remain in use, like Canvas and the StarRez housing portal for undergraduate students.

You may already be familiar with Workday. If you are a student worker or employee at the university, you use Workday now to complete tasks like entering time and viewing your paycheck.

All students will gain access to Workday in February 2025 for academic and student support tasks. If you register for courses yourself, you will begin using Workday this spring to register for Fall 2025 classes. 

What do I need to know?

There are many benefits with this transition, but also a lot of changes that may be challenging at first. It’s important to understand these changes because it will impact your registration strategies, the way you prioritize enrolling for classes, and where you view and pay your tuition.

Get Help

There are many ways to prepare for the transition to Workday and get help in the moment.  

  • Explore Workday@WashU, your home for Workday tutorials, videos and other support materials. Support materials for students will be available prior to Mock enRoll in November.
  • Access help articles within Workday as you start using the system in Spring 2025. 
  • Submit a ticket with the Workday Student Support Team via servicedesk.washu.edu

Your advisor may also be a good point of support for you. But remember, your advisors, along with the rest of the university, are learning to use Workday, too. We all will need to work together and be patient with each other as we move through this transition.
